Why it is different

Punchcard runs entirely on Atlassian's own infrastructure. There is no Punchcard server. If Jira is up, Punchcard is up. Your worklogs stay in Jira, where they already live, so nothing is copied out and nothing is lost if you stop using it. Punchcard keeps only submission status and your settings, inside Atlassian, in your site's data residency region.

No analytics, no tracking, no data leaving your site.
